Trouble Sleeping?

Regularly I see clients who present with sleep issues and clients who present with other issues linked to lack of good quality sleep. Quite simply sleep is one of the most important things for us all and it is one of the things that I really focus on with my clients. When we sleep well, we eat better, function better, be in better form and quite simply life is easier. Sleep deprivation can lead to all sorts of health issues including depression, weight gain, high blood pressure and reduced immune system function.

Prioritise your sleep and ensure you get a good quality and quantity of sleep. This applies to all ages from newborn through to elderly.

TOP SLEEP TIPS

Routine; Have a regular bed time and getting up time, cutting out naps!

Exercise; 30 minutes daily

Wind down; Read or listen to some Mindfulness for 15 minutes before trying to sleep

Screen time: Avoid screens for 1hour before bed

Cut caffeine; Reduce or remove caffeine from diet

Remove Electro Magentic Stress: switch off phone, tv, wifi, remove fitbit at night
